Rohingya Refugees, Genocide, & The Role of the Internat. Community - Dr. Mohd Karim

In this interview, Hana Kim (JS Scholar 2018) talks to Professor Mohd Aminul Karim about the Rohingya Refugee crisis, from his time as an officer in the Bangladeshi military to the broader roles of the UN and international community. Following the shortcomings of the UN, Prof Karim discusses various military and non-military responses to what he argues is clearly a genocide and important international crisis.

Dr. Karim is currently a Dean at Independent University in Bangladesh, and teaches on a variety of subjects ranging from geopolitics to strategic management. He brings with him a unique perspective with his extensive military background, from being the Lieutenant General at the National Defense College of Bangladesh to his time as a Military Secretary for the President of Bangladesh.
